Windows 10 has been out for almost nine years and still remains the leader in the market of operating systems. Previously, Microsoft has already announced the cessation of new updates and is pushing users to switch to Windows 11 in every possible way, but so far to no avail.
The other day, Microsoft launched a new page that hints to users that the end of the Windows 10 operating system is near and they should upgrade. The message says that support for Windows 10 will end in a year – on October 14, 2025.
After this date, users’ computers will continue to work normally, but they will no longer be able to count on monthly security updates and patches that protect against the latest threats. And they will lose technical support from Microsoft, so the software giant recommends switching to the latest OS.
At the same time, the company noted that corporate clients will be able to continue using the “ten” even after the end of support, but for an additional fee. The program for paid updates for Windows 10 will work until 2028.
